Collaboration Panel, Women in Breakbulk
Patti Smith has been a driving force in the Houston sports media landscape since 1995. She spent over two decades with Fox Sports Southwest, where she earned multiple Emmy Awards as both a producer and broadcaster. During her tenure, she served as the sideline reporter for the Houston Astros and Houston Rockets, and hosted five weekly shows dedicated to the Houston Texans.
Following her successful broadcasting career, Patti joined the Harris County – Houston Sports Authority, where she served for seven years as Vice President of Communications. In that role, she conceived, launched, and produced two of the city’s signature events—the Houston Sports Awards and the Houston Sports Hall of Fame.
A passionate advocate for youth, Patti co-founded the nonprofit Brothers In Arms alongside Heisman Trophy winner Andre Ware, Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Moon, and Texas Longhorn legend Vince Young. The foundation provides college scholarships to high school athletes from single-parent homes—reflecting the backgrounds of its founders.
For nearly 15 years, Patti was also a beloved voice at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, serving as an announcer until stepping down after the 2024 season.
Today, Patti is the Founder and CEO of RELEVENT Worldwide, a marketing and events firm that specializes in large-scale productions. She is currently leading efforts on major projects, including the FIFA World Cup 2026 Houston Fan Fest.
