Waves of Opportunity Ahead for the Maritime Sector
Maritime transport is essential to trade throughout the Americas from the Atlantic to the Pacific and the major waterways in between. And when it comes to project cargo and breakbulk, there’s only one place to meet the shippers and forwarders responsible for moving over-size cargoes: Breakbulk Americas, the largest event of its kind in the region with more than 30 years of bringing this community together.
Why attend Breakbulk Americas?
Conference Content Designed for You
Because the majority of mega-projects involve maritime transportation, our two-day conference program always features several high-level sessions around the maritime sector. This year, we’ll look at increasing demand for vessels, regulatory uncertainty and time charter rates over the next five years in “The Aging Breakbulk Fleet in Times of Increasing Demand and Regulatory Uncertainty,” followed by “Fleet Capacity: Planning for the Future,” a deep dive featuring representatives from maritime transport leaders.
More Ways to Network
Beyond the show floor, there are several new ways for maritime transport professionals to meet contacts for new business. Main Stage sessions will be followed by round table discussions led by panelists to provide an opportunity for meaningful conversations in a small group. We will be hosting an invititation-only carrier and shipper executive reception on Wednesday afternoon to bring these two groups together. You’ll also find exceptional networking at Tuesday’s Women in Breakbulk event and at Port Houston’s After-party at The Rustic.
Our attendees want to meet you
Based on our surveys, no sector ranked higher in popularity amongst attendees than the maritime sector, so you can be assured of a receptive crowd at Breakbulk Americas. Below is a breakdown of the percentage of attendees in each sector that stated maritime transport as who they most want to meet.

We are also hoping to take this opportunity to strengthen our relationships with partners and clients face-to-face.”
