Leah Mastaglio has over 20 years’ experience in the event and facility management industry focusing on sports and entertainment. Her current role is assistant general manager and vice president of arena operations for Toyota Center, home of the Houston Rockets. Previously, Mastaglio held the senior assistant general manager position at NRG Park, a multi-purpose sports and entertainment property.
Mastaglio managed NRG Stadium, NRG Center and NRG Arena, home to the Houston Texans and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo; with day-to-day responsibilities included overseeing the Event and Guest Services, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Technical Services, Parking, Security and Safety departments.
Mastaglio has served as the tournament manager for the 2008, 2010 and 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. For the 2011, 2016 and 2023 NCAA Men’s Final Four, Mastaglio was the chairperson of the Stadium Operations Committee for the event. She has assisted in the management of Super Bowl XXXVIII, held at Reliant Park, and served as the NFL contact for stadium operations for Houston’s 2017 Super Bowl LI, held at NRG Stadium. Leah has worked on an event logistics team for 15 other Super Bowls.
Other events Leah has managed include 2024 College Football National Championship Playoff Game, Big XII Football Championships, WrestleMania XXV, international soccer matches, large-scale stadium concerts, Offshore Technology Conference, the largest offshore drilling conference in the world, four years of the Grand Prix of Houston, and many other events.
During the emergency response after Hurricane Katrina, Leah was part of the team that assisted in shelter operations. After Hurricane Harvey Leah organized and led the emergency shelter operations at NRG Center for three weeks.
Leah Mastaglio has served on the Houston Mayor’s Office Commission for People with Disabilities for four years. She is a member of International Association of Venue Managers, serving as president of the Houston chapter WISE Women in Sports and Events.
