Jean-François Bourque

Regional Logistics Manager, Eastern Canada Hatch

Jean François Bourque currently manages logistics activities for a large mining project in Northern Québec while supporting Hatch’s regional logistics function across Eastern Canada. With 24+ years in construction logistics and project cargo, he has worked across mining, industrial, energy and transportation infrastructure projects, including remote site execution. 
  
His work is centered on execution readiness, coordinating carriers and 3PL partners, managing oversize transportation and customs interfaces, maintaining shipment visibility, and supporting smooth handover to site laydown and warehouse receipt, specifically on critical or remote projects. In EPCM environments, he collaborates with engineering, procurement, expediting and construction teams to translate purchasing and schedule requirements into workable transport and delivery sequences, with attention to safety, clear responsibilities, and predictable field execution. 
  
Jean François’ project experience includes the Nemaska Lithium Conversion Plant (Bécancour, QC), De Beers’ Gahcho Kué Project (Northwest Territories), Cameco’s McArthur River Project (Northern Saskatchewan) and Rio Tinto Alcan’s AP60 Phase 1 (Jonquière, QC). He has also supported major transportation programs such as Montréal’s REM (NouvLR), the Turcot Interchange reconstruction (Kiewit), and BART’s “Fleet of the Future” program (Bombardier). A graduate of Institut maritime du Québec in Transportation and Logistics, he is bilingual in French and English.
