Breakbulk’s NextWave Program is a dedicated initiative designed to engage, support, and retain emerging talent as they build their knowledge, networks, and careers within the industry.
The goal of the NextWave program is to tackle the skills shortage head-on and begin to bridge the talent gap through the nurture of industry professionals, both before and during their careers via NextWave Education Day and NextWave 30.
Breakbulk’s aim is to provide a supportive platform for new talent to begin building their own industry networks to give them the best headstart to their career.

NextWave Education Day

Breakbulk Americas NextWave Education Day gives university and final-year school students the opportunity to explore careers across the project cargo and breakbulk supply chain. Through interactive learning, industry insights and direct access to professionals, students will discover what it takes to deliver a major project while gaining practical career advice and building valuable connections.
The day includes alumni panels, problem-based learning sessions, career advice, a guided exhibition floor walk and lunch.

NextWave 30 Awards

Breakbulk Americas NextWave 30 celebrates outstanding early-career professionals and connects the industry’s emerging talent. Through recognition and networking, the programme shines a spotlight on future leaders while helping them expand their industry knowledge, build valuable connections and develop career-long relationships with peers and established professionals across the project cargo and breakbulk supply chain.
Nominations for the NextWave 30 Awards have now closed. We look forward to announcing and celebrating this year’s winners at the NextWave 30 Awards ceremony at Breakbulk Americas, bringing together rising talent and industry leaders for an evening of recognition, celebration and networking.
