James Faux is a seasoned industry leader with more than three decades of experience in business development, project management, and operations within the highly regulated nuclear energy sector. As Nuclear Market Manager at Barnhart Crane & Rigging, he is responsible for strategic growth across all aspects of the U.S. nuclear market, including capital projects, maintenance, decommissioning, and emerging technologies such as Small Modular and Micro Reactors. He provides guidance and training to over a dozen branch locations, helping to align project execution with long-term business development goals.
Prior to joining Barnhart, James spent nearly two decades at Westinghouse Electric and its subsidiaries, where he held leadership roles in project and product management, marketing, and operational integration. He led several successful corporate integration efforts following acquisitions, spearheaded SAP implementations, and drove revenue growth through market expansion and strategic realignment initiatives. Earlier in his career, James held progressive roles at ABB Combustion Engineering in steam generator services and began his professional journey as an Engineering Design Specialist for General Dynamics Electric Boat on the Trident submarine program.
James also served in the United States Navy Submarine Service for six years, where he was the Senior Inertial Navigation Electronics Supervisor aboard the USS Nathanael Greene, receiving multiple commendations for his service.
Widely respected for his expertise in nuclear operations, strategic planning, and technical project delivery, James brings a unique combination of field experience, operational insight, and business acumen to the stage. His leadership has directly contributed to organizational turnarounds, efficiency gains, and multi-million-dollar growth in complex and competitive environments
