Opsima Takes Top Honors at Breakbulk Americas 2026 Innovation Pitch

Congratulations to Opsima, winner of the Breakbulk Americas 2026 Innovation Pitch.
The live startup competition brought five companies head-to-head on the Breakbulk Voices Stage, pitching market-ready solutions to an expert judging panel and an audience of attendees at Breakbulk Americas in Houston.
Opsima impressed the judges with its “software factory,” which turns customers’ workflows into production-ready software. The company focuses on processes that standard business systems often struggle to handle, helping operators replace manual tasks such as packing list data entry and equipment tracking.
Its pitch also showcased work with Port Newark Container Terminal (PNCT), where Opsima reports a 5% increase in fleet availability and 15% fewer breakdowns.
The competition is designed to give companies a platform to test their ideas, gain industry feedback and raise their profile, while giving the breakbulk and project cargo industry a glimpse of what’s next.
Our congratulations again to Opsima, and thanks to fellow finalists Freight Canvas, Project Logistics Engineering Solutions, CargoEZ and Emerger for sharing their ideas.
And a special thank you to judges Shazia Panjwani, AI product manager at UTC Overseas, and Matthew Costello, co-founder and CEO of Voyager Portal, for their time and expertise.
The Breakbulk Asia 2026 Innovation Pitch will be held on the Breakbulk Voices Stage on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1:50pm - 3:00pm.
