Use Case 1: Port of New Orleans / NOPB — AI-Powered Rail Clearance

The Port of New Orleans and NOPB, in partnership with UTC Transoceanic, are deploying patented AI-powered rail clearance technology and a real-time digital twin of the NOPB rail network on the Palantir Foundry platform. The customer-facing TEID-RDC application lets shippers enter cargo dimensions, weight, and railcar specifications to determine almost immediately whether oversized cargo can move through the network and to recommend optimal routing — compressing what has traditionally taken weeks of engineering studies.
