Shazia Panjwani
AI Product Manager UTC Overseas, Inc.
Shazia Panjwani is an AI Product Manager working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and supply chain operations. Her work spans product strategy and adoption for enterprise AI systems built on Palantir Foundry, and centers on a single question: whether systems built on engineering judgment earn the confidence of the people who have to rely on them.
She serves on the strategic planning group of the Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Institute at the C. T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston, where the institute’s work focuses on the responsible application of artificial intelligence across industry. She is also a teaching assistant in Transportation Economics and Policy and in Project Logistics.
Ms. Panjwani holds an M.B.A. and an M.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston. She came to logistics technology from an earlier career in healthcare, a field that taught her how little a system’s design matters if the people it was built for decline to use it.
Having built inside a large organization, she is drawn to the unglamorous questions that determine whether a promising product survives contact with the industry it was built for - who actually signs off, what the incumbent process costs, and whether the problem being solved is the one the customer is losing money on.
