Otto Bottger is the Senior Vice President of Commercial for DP World in the Americas, where he oversees commercial operations across the region, driving growth and expanding DP World’s market presence. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Otto is responsible for leading teams that manage strategic partnerships, optimize supply chain solutions, and deliver value to clients in one of the world’s most dynamic logistics markets.
Otto has been with DP World for over 15 years, holding various leadership roles in both the Americas and South America. Prior to his current role, he served as Commercial Director for the Americas Region, where he spearheaded the company's commercial strategy and drove initiatives to diversify supply chains, aligning with changing global trade dynamics. Otto also led operations as Commercial Manager for DP World in Callao, Peru, where he significantly contributed to the growth of the port and enhanced its position as a critical hub in South America. With over two decades of experience in the logistics and shipping industry, Otto has held key leadership roles at A.P. Moller-Maersk, where he managed trade operations and was instrumental in implementing cost leadership initiatives. His expertise lies in global trade, commercial strategy, and developing resilient supply chains.
A recognized leader in supply chain innovation, Otto has driven DP World’s efforts to provide U.S. businesses with alternative supply chain solutions beyond Asia, contributing to the industry's shift towards nearshoring and China-plus-one strategies. His leadership has been pivotal in helping DP World navigate the challenges of a rapidly evolving global trade environment.
Otto holds an MBA from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business and a second MBA from CENTRUM PUCP. He also earned a BS from Universidad de Lima.
