General Manager Swire Projects

Namir Khanbabi is the General Manager of Swire Projects, the heavy lift and project cargo shipping division of Swire Shipping, based in Singapore. He brings nearly 20 years of senior leadership experience across the multipurpose, heavy lift, and project cargo shipping sectors.

In his current role, Namir is responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, and operational performance of Swire Projects, delivering tailored shipping solutions for complex global industrial projects.
Namir has held senior leadership roles with several leading project cargo shipping companies. Prior to Swire Shipping, he served as Director, Asia & Oceania at Zeamarine and Director at AAL Shipping, supporting global tramp and liner services across the breakbulk, heavy lift, and project cargo markets. Earlier in his career, he was Managing Director at Beluga Projects.

Namir is passionate about the project cargo industry and is a strong advocate for innovation, technology, and more sustainable practices to support its long term progress.
