Jade Gordon

Operations Billing Specialist Port of Beaumont

Jade Gordon is an Operations Billing Specialist with the Port of Beaumont Navigation District and a nine-year maritime industry professional. She began her career at the port as a clerk in operations and has grown within the organization to take on responsibility for billing across its diverse cargo and service portfolio, including military cargo, breakbulk, liquid bulk, project cargo, door-to-door movements, weight-or-measure cargo, crane services and equipment usage.

As the only woman currently working in Operations at the Port of Beaumont, Jade brings a firsthand perspective on navigating and succeeding in a traditionally male-dominated environment. Her experience has shaped her views on the importance of women establishing their expertise, earning trust, finding their voice and creating space for themselves in areas where they may be underrepresented. She is passionate about encouraging women to recognize the value of their experience and perspective and to pursue opportunities for growth and leadership without feeling they must change who they are to belong.

Beyond her professional career, Jade is a single mother of two and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management at Lamar University, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027. Balancing motherhood, a full-time career and higher education has further shaped her perspective on resilience, ambition and the many paths women take toward leadership. Following graduation, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in leadership and continue building on nearly a decade of practical experience in the maritime industry.
