The North Carolina State Ports Authority offers two deep water port locations in Wilmington and Morehead City, as well as an inland port in Charlotte. It is our mission to enhance the economy of the State of North Carolina by linking the state’s consumers, businesses, and industry to world markets. NC Ports also serves as a magnet to attract new business and industry to the State of North Carolina. In our Fiscal Year 2024, NC Ports recorded 4,450,571 tons of General Cargo including 975,753 tons of Breakbulk.
