A conversation with Juan Antonio Solbes, Director General en ALPASA
What is the most interesting thing about your business? One of the most interesting aspects of our business is our strong focus on customer service. We excel at managing complex, large-scale international projects, with flexibility, thanks to our extensive infrastructure and specialized machinery capable of handling oversized cargo and different types of cargo. Additionally, we have a team of key personnel dedicated to addressing our clients' needs effectively. This combination of resources and expertise allows us to deliver exceptional service and support in a variety of challenging scenarios.
ALPASA and PISSA are more than just logistics providers and maritime terminals, they are key drivers of economic activity in the region. Their ability to adapt to the growing demands of international trade, combined with their strategic location and advanced facilities, positions them as leaders in the industry. The synergy between ALPASA and PISSA, as part of DPH Group, not only supports the efficient movement of goods but also strengthens the economic foundation of Altamira and the Northeast Mexico region, providing a competitive edge in a rapidly evolving global market.
What made your company want to exhibit at Breakbulk Americas?
Breakbulk Americas is a great opportunity to show the world what’s happening in Mexico's northeast region. We want to highlight the growing importance of our area in global trade and connect with key industry players who are looking for strong partners in this changing environment.
Breakbulk Americas is a key event in the project cargo and breakbulk industry, making it the perfect platform for networking, generating new business opportunities, and boosting our brand's visibility and positioning.
What is your company’s outlook on project opportunities in the Americas at the moment?
Our companies foresee the Americas as a region with significant project opportunities, especially now that the world is shifting from globalization to greater regionalization. Trade routes between the United States and Mexico are more active than ever, largely due to the nearshoring trend and the need for stronger supply chains. We believe that the integration of supply chains among the three TMEC countries: Mexico, the United States and Canada, will be crucial for economic growth in the region over the next decade, creating many opportunities for everyone.
