José Lucas Moreira is part of the Port of Açu commercial team, leading the commercial management of T-MULT (Multicargo Terminal), that handles a wide portfolio of breakbulk, project cargo and dry bulk cargoes. In addition, he is responsible for the development for the implementation of new plants in the port complex. Thanks to the ample availability of traditional and renewable energy, Port of Açu holds an enormous potential to attract new industries in Brazil, especially those striving for a sustainable and green production chain in segments such as steel, ammonia and e-fuels. José Lucas is graduated in Business Administration at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora and has more than 10 years of experience in different segments of logistics, such as railway transport, logistic operators, ports and terminals.
Latin America continues to be a region of opportunity for the breakbulk sector. Energy, mining, and infrastructure are taking up the biggest share of megaprojects currently under construction and the region is tipped for huge growth in the renewables sector, particularly offshore wind and hydrogen. The decommissioning market is also on the rise and, alongside this, large scale port development to service the needs of the region’s projects. Join our Latin American experts in this session who will provide an overview on opportunities in key countries in the region, as well as share their insights and predictions on hot spots and where this region is headed over the coming years.
