Maria is an experienced supply chain professional with a diverse background in project logistics. Her Logistics career began in 2015 as a Logistics Specialist at CB&I, where she initially managed general trucking shipments and gradually moved on to managing more complex shipments like Heavy Hauling and Barging.
Since then, Maria has seized the opportunity to work in numerous and diverse projects at various EPC’s, each with differing types of cargos of varying complexities.
Currently, Maria is in a Lead position at Bechtel Corporation where she manages the logistics execution for the Thacker Pass Project – a milestone mining project of the largest lithium deposit in the U.S.
Maria has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain & Logistics.
This session will bring various key stakeholders within the community together to show the amazing opportunities available in a career in breakbulk and project logistics. Students will learn about what it takes to be successful and hear about what a career in the industry can offer them, both in the short and long term.
