Torben Waalkes has 24 years of experience in the Project and Shipping industry, especially as Chartering and Operation Manager.
Torben is a strong entrepreneurial thinker with an eye for business opportunities. He has senior-level expertise in global vessel chartering and operation, leading the worldwide chartering team, tonnage procurement, and extensive network in the global shipping industry with carriers, owners, shippers, and freight forwarders. Moreover an extensive knowledge in the shipping industry, such as; multipurpose/heavy-lift shipping, coaster market Europe, bulk carrier, and ship management.
Torben greatly influenced the launch of the Global Chartering Centre in 2019/2020. He built a strong team in 7 countries on three continents just in 12 months and was awarded ‘Best Team 2020’and ‘Best Team 2021’.
