Miguel Angel Pérez Frias is 38 years and happily married.Miguel Angel Pérez is the Cofounder and CEO of SAPCO Energia, the leading Mexican company at Powertrain installation for the energy Sector, Over the las 17 Years he has been involved in the Energy Sector at Mexico Participating in over 25 projects for combine cycle Plants from 50 to 1800 MW.  Born in Mexico in a family that has been in heavy construction industry for over 40 years, He is a mechanical engineer form Tecnologico de Monterrey and has specialized in Rigging and Heavy Lifting.  In the las 5 years has led Sapco to be recognize as a Socially Responsible Company and a trusted partner to the energy Sector with costumers like Iberdrola, GE, Samsung and TSK.

Power Generation in Latin America: Regional Spotlight

Latin America is certainly a region of opportunity when it comes to projects, specifically power generation. There is no question that the demand is there and power generation is a key development area for this region looking into the future, in particular clean energy. Since 2008, there have been several low carbon pilot projects taking place in Argentina, Costa Rica and Chile and the region is set to play a prominent role in green hydrogen development. This session will look at the current project landscape when it comes to power generation, what the project pipeline looks like, where infrastructure will be needed and where the main opportunities are for the project cargo industry over the coming years.
