North Carolina State Ports Authority

The North Carolina State Ports Authority offers two deep water port locations in Wilmington and Morehead City, as well as an inland port in Charlotte. It is our mission to enhance the economy of the State of North Carolina by linking the state’s consumers, businesses, and industry to world markets. NC Ports also serves as a magnet to attract new business and industry to the State of North Carolina. In FY22, NC Ports recorded a 43 percent increase from the previous fiscal year in breakbulk, moving a total of 960,026 tons.
