The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our work lives, particularly for women. As of January 2021, over 2.3 million women had left the workforce in the U.S. during the pandemic, leaving only 57% of women working or looking for work—the lowest rate since 1988. The pandemic seems to have set back many of the gains that women have made in the workplace in the past several decades.

One pathway toward creating a culture of diversity and belonging is to empower allies at work. Men may be unsure how to be an ally and have trouble navigating power dynamics, but the effort will pay off. Studies show that when men become effective allies, women feel a greater sense of inclusion and more energy and enthusiasm on the job, and firms prosper with women at the top.

In this session, we’ll hear from several allied pairs who will discuss what it takes for men to be effective allies and how women can leverage these partnerships. You’ll come away with a roadmap to build an allyship program from the ground up.

Special offer: Allyship depends on men and women working together. If you’d like to bring a colleague with you to this session, you can receive a free pass for that person.
