Mr. Timothy Axelsson started a new career in offshore renewable energy after a 28-year career in the commercial fishing, offshore oil, and submarine cable industries. Tim began working in 2010 for Fishermen’s Energy as Project Director engaged in offshore wind development activities in the US. After leaving Fishermen’s Energy Tim was employed by Vestas as their US Project Director for offshore wind projects, which included construction of some of the largest wind turbines in the world.

Today, Tim brings his diverse background and experience to Liberty Green Logistics as the Director Offshore Wind. His renewable energy journey continues at Liberty with a focus on offshore wind providing end to end supply chain logistics, heavy lift transport, port staging, and construction and O&M services. Liberty Green Logistics is a new vertical of the Liberty group of companies located in Lake Success, New York. From their headquarters in New York Liberty Green is at the heart of this new US renewable energy industry.

Tim attended the SUNY Maritime College graduating in 1982 with a Bachelor of Engineering in EE and a Third Mate license. He attended the Rutgers University School of Business graduating in 2014 with an MBA degree, magna cum laude. He holds a PMP certificate issued in 2013 by the Project Management Institute. Tim currently holds a USCG Master Unlimited license and was Honorably Discharged as a LCDR in the US Naval Reserve.
