The Port’s cargo terminals are located adjacent to the Interstate Highway System, the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway and are served by the BNSF Railway and Union Pacific Railroad. The Port has the best rail clearances to points in the heartland of all the Texas Gulf Coast seaports. The Port of Galveston is the Grantee for Foreign-Trade Zone No.36. Capt. John G.
