Port of Albany
The Port of Albany, NY is a port of entry located 124 miles north of New York Harbor and handles bulk, break bulk and special project cargo. The facility includes nearly 400 acres of land on both sides of the Hudson River, with over 5,400 linear feet of wharf and a freshwater draft of 32 feet. The Port has 350,000 SF of covered storage space, a 30 acre marine terminal, 20 mile standard gauge switching railroad jointly owned by CSX and CP Rail (APRC) with on dock heavy rail operations. The Port is open year-round and is currently investing $50M in maritime infrastructure upgrades including a new roll on roll of barge ramp and a $100M+ Port expansion.
